John is a veteran trial and appeal lawyer with over twenty-five years experience representing and advising governments, regulatory agencies and businesses. He has argued cases before municipal councils, administrative tribunals, all levels of trial and appeal courts in Ontario, the Alberta Queen’s Bench Division, the trial and appeal level of the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada.

In 2006, the Province of Ontario appointed John as a Vice Chair of the Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal. The Tribunal hears appeals in the agricultural sector under two dozen provincial statutes. As Vice Chair, John sits as a decision maker in
the appeals.
